A few years ago, I was going through a tough breakup when something unexpected happened—I met Mitch.

Our wedding day still feels so close, like it only just happened, and at the same time it feels like a beautiful dream we never want to wake up from. That day was filled with so much love, laughter, emotion, and magic. From the moment we saw each other, everything else faded away. We weren’t just getting married — we were promising forever, support, patience, friendship and unconditional love.

When we talk about inclusion, it’s important to recognize that accessibility goes far beyond the presence of a ramp or a designated toilet. It’s about ensuring that every person — regardless of their mobility, sensory, cognitive, or communication needs — can participate fully and independently in everyday life.

Kindness often begins with curiosity. When we take a moment to ask, listen, and understand, we open the door to connection — and sometimes, the most powerful lessons come from children.

Sometimes courage doesn’t look like climbing a mountain or running a marathon. Sometimes it’s just wanting to go on the slide.
