Wellness Australia Group aims to improve the quality of life of people living with disability and their families by providing integrated support, wellness and lifestyle programs within inclusive communities that are set in beautiful locations.

We offer inclusive communities where people will have equal access to integrated support, wellness and disability services and to full participation in the community in an environment of caring, compassion and empowerment that values the individual for all their abilities.

An important overarching principle is that we work within the confines of your existing NDIS, Centrelink, Veterans Affairs, Health and Aged pension or other package, and bulk billing allied health professionals.

Meet our Team

Julie

With over 20 years of experience across the human services sector and passionate about equity, Julie is our Chief Executive Officer. Julie has a passion for creating opportunities for all to live their best life through exploring innovative and inclusive possibilities. Julie challenges the norm and loves to have fun whilst leading people to be the best version of themselves, creating environments in which everyone feels safe and valued, with a sense of belonging and purpose. Julie works across all of our locations and is our key go-to person on all matters relating to our programs and care services.

Lauren

Lauren, our Chief Operating Officer, collaborates closely with the CEO and Managing Director to deliver Wellness Australia Group's vision. As a Provisional Psychologist and Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society, Lauren is dedicated to utilising psychological principles to support older Australians and individuals with disabilities in pursuing their goals, enhancing their quality of life, preserving well-being, addressing challenges, and reaching their full potential. With more than 15 years of experience in the Corporate Finance sector, Lauren's unique blend of corporate, finance, and psychology expertise drives innovative solutions. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and is a Justice of the Peace.

John

John is our General Manager (Care) and following his law degree with a focus on public health and policy John went on to complete his Bachelor of Nursing at QUT. John then completed his graduate training at the RBWH (Orthopaedic Speciality) and then stepped into Community Nursing. The community health setting has seen many recent changes and remains a dynamic area following the introduction of the NDIS. 

Graeme

Spending over 20 years working across the community services industry Graeme has seen and experienced a lot of change and as our Operations Manager he has a shared vision of ensuring all of our people experience the best possible opportunities to live, share and grow in a safe and supportive environment. Working together to build strong communities with a sense of purpose, innovation, wellness and fun! 

James

James is someone you always want on your team: knowledgeable, calm and friendly whilst always getting things done. James brings an abundance of experience from the disability sector and insight from the NDIA LAC program. James is the Community Care Manager - South and oversees the Short Term Accommodation for the southern region.

Yaana

Yaana is the Community Care Manager - North and manages Honeybee Wellness Retreat in the beautiful Mary Valley. Yaana brings a wealth of experience in complex and psychosocial services and is a qualified Mental Health First Aid trainer. Yaana’s inclusive leadership style and extraordinary skills in communication create a peaceful and professional team to provide services on this tranquil property.

Iona

Iona is our Relief Care Manager and provides leadership and guidance to our Care Managers in this important service area. Iona has a unique ability to connect with people living with complex care requirements and provide the highest quality support systems to meet individual needs. Iona has an incredible eye for detail and strongly advocates for people with disabilities to live their best lives.

Malcolm

Malcolm brings a wealth of experience from the youth and disability sector. Malcolm leads his teams with absolute passion, with a person-centric approach to ensure that all objectives are worked towards and achieved. Malcolm’s dedication to serve in the human services sector is exemplary and the families with which he works are always grateful.

Jules

Julie (her friends call her Jules) has 23 years' experience in the disability sector, and over 6 years' experience in aged care. Having worked in the disability field since she was 15, Jules started as a volunteer before moving into support work and leadership roles. Julies holds a Diploma in Disabilities, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management. Jules loves live music, candle making, exercising and the outdoors.

Lachlan

Lachlan is the Managing Director of Wellness Australia Group and brings a deeply personal perspective to his work to achieve Wellness Australia Group's mission. Lachlan believes in the goodness of humanity and that kindness always is the best philosophy. Lachlan’s draws from his experience across finance, national and international businesses, hotel and resort management, and aged care to create leading edge inclusive communities and programs that will create social change.

Values-based Selection Process

Wellness Australia Group provides a safe and inclusive workspace for all. Team members are recruited through a values-based selection process and all successful applicants undergo stringent security screening and are provided with CPR and First Aid training.
