Meet our Team

Lachlan
Managing Director
Lachlan is the Managing Director of Wellness Australia Group and brings a deeply personal perspective to his work to achieve Wellness Australia Group's mission. Lachlan believes in the goodness of humanity and that kindness always is the best philosophy. Lachlan’s draws from his experience across finance, national and international businesses, hotel and resort management, and aged care to create leading edge inclusive communities and programs that will create social change.

John
General Manager (Care)
John holds dual qualifications in law and nursing, offering a distinctive perspective in health and community services. After completing his law degree in Sydney with a focus on public health and policy, he was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2014. He later went on to study a Bachelor of Nursing at QUT, graduating with a Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. John commenced his nursing career at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, completing his graduate program in orthopaedic trauma before moving into community health. With broad experience across varied settings, he brings a strong multidisciplinary approach to his work and is deeply committed to supporting participants to thrive through the NDIS.

Iona
Care Manager (Complex Care)
Iona is our Relief Care Manager and provides leadership and guidance to our Care Managers in this important service area. Iona has a unique ability to connect with people living with complex care requirements and provide the highest quality support systems to meet individual needs. Iona has an incredible eye for detail and strongly advocates for people with disabilities to live their best lives.

Jo
Care Manager (Gold Coast) and Quality Assurance Advisor
Jo is a valued member of our Care Management team, dedicated to supporting participants, families, and staff to ensure the highest quality of care and service.

Wayne
Golf Director
Wayne Perske is a highly respected PGA Professional with a distinguished career spanning professional competition, coaching, and community engagement. Beginning as a touring professional, he competed both nationally and internationally, gaining invaluable experience at the highest levels of the game before shifting his focus to coaching and mentoring. Holding full PGA qualifications, Wayne is a passionate advocate for accessibility in golf and is recognised as a leader in All Abilities coaching. He has worked extensively with people of all ages and abilities, including those with intellectual and physical disabilities, designing programs that make golf welcoming, achievable, and fun for everyone. Currently based at Gunabul Homestead, Wayne leads golf programs, coaching, and community initiatives, while also working with Wellness Australia Group to bring together sport, wellness, and community services for people living with disabilities. His work creates opportunities for participants to thrive both on and off the course. Outside of golf, Wayne has a love for travel and motorsport, balanced by the joy and inspiration he finds in family life with his wife and two children. With his unique blend of professional experience, inclusive coaching, and community leadership, Wayne continues to inspire others while growing the game he loves.

Julie
Chief Executive Officer
With over 20 years of experience across the human services sector and passionate about equity, Julie is our Chief Executive Officer. Julie has a passion for creating opportunities for all to live their best life through exploring innovative and inclusive possibilities. Julie challenges the norm and loves to have fun whilst leading people to be the best version of themselves, creating environments in which everyone feels safe and valued, with a sense of belonging and purpose. Julie works across all of our locations and is our key go-to person on all matters relating to our programs and care services.

Craig
Operations Manager
Craig is a logistics wiz and has years of experience with problem solving. Craig oversees the property coordination, systems, coordinates the payroll and provides scheduling advice and support.

Jules
Care Manager (Gold Coast)
Julie (her friends call her Jules) has 23 years' experience in the disability sector, and over 6 years' experience in aged care. Having worked in the disability field since she was 15, Jules started as a volunteer before moving into support work and leadership roles. Julies holds a Diploma in Disabilities, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management. Jules loves live music, candle making, exercising and the outdoors.

Leah
Care Manager
(Greater Brisbane)
Leah has been working in the disability sector since graduating in 2017. She began her career as a support worker before moving into nursing as an Enrolled and Registered Nurse, later stepping into leadership roles across both nursing and operations. She is deeply passionate about advocating for the rights of people living with disability, building participant capacity, and supporting teams through education and upskilling to ensure best practice and the best possible outcomes for participants. Outside of work, Leah is a live music enthusiast and can often be found at gigs, festivals, and theatre productions—especially inclusive music events, which she talks about with boundless enthusiasm. She’s also a lover of good food and wine, and proudly claims to have perfected the ultimate pizza dough recipe.

Amanda
Head of Marketing Consultant
Amanda is a passionate marketing and communications creative and graphic designer with more than 25 years of experience in business development, branding, storytelling, and community engagement. She is the co-founder of Amarose Accounting, where she focuses on business development, marketing, operations, and creating a seamless, values-driven client experience. Amanda thrives on helping small business owners build the kind of business they truly want to run—spotting opportunities they may not yet see and turning ideas into action. With a strong background in the social sector, Amanda is guided by values of inclusivity, independence, and supporting businesses to articulate the real impact they make in the lives of others. Understanding people is at the heart of her work, complemented by her qualifications in community services and her current studies in counselling.

Lauren
Chief Operating Officer
Lauren, our Chief Operating Officer, collaborates closely with the CEO and Managing Director to deliver Wellness Australia Group's vision. Lauren is dedicated to supporting people living with disability in pursuing their personal and professional goals, removing barriers and creating opportunities to ensure everyone is able to participate fully in their communities. With more than 15 years of experience in the Corporate Finance sector, Lauren's unique blend of corporate, finance, and psychology background drives innovative solutions. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Psychology and minors in Counselling and Accounting. Lauren is a Qualified Justice of the Peace.

Yaana
Regional Service Delivery Leader
Yaana is the Regional Service Delivery Leader, overseeing Care Services across the northern region. With nearly 20 years of experience in the community sector, she specialises in complex and psychosocial care and is also a licensed Mental Health First Aid instructor. Holding a background in psychology and business studies, Yaana leads with inclusivity, kindness, and an open-minded approach, fostering strong and supportive teams. Beyond her professional role, she nurtures her creativity through art, painting, drawing, and crochet—reflecting her passion for mental health, wellbeing, and self-expression.

Sarah
Care Manager (Gympie)
Sarah Ford has 24 years of experience in the community services sector, with the past 14 years dedicated to out-of-home care in the Gympie region. In her role as Care Manager for Wellness Australia Group, she supports services at Honeybee and across the Sunshine Coast. Sarah is passionate about helping people grow, connect, and thrive. She values genuine conversations, enjoys yarning with people, and takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, making costumes, and spending quality time with her family, bringing creativity, compassion, and a down-to-earth approach to everything she does.

Megan
Program & Community Engagement Manager
Megan has over 25 years of experience in Employment, Community, and Social Services roles, supported by a Diploma in Community Services, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and a Certificate IV in Employment Services. She is passionate about working with people who are disadvantaged or fall through the gaps in our community. Known for her highly professional approach, Megan enjoys connecting with individuals from all backgrounds and abilities, empowering them to recognise their skills and strengths through training facilitation, group interaction, and one-on-one mentoring. Throughout her career, she has held diverse roles across training, marketing, project coordination and management, case management, mental health, recruitment, community engagement and development, legal, and quality assurance. She thrives on building networks and partnerships with like-minded stakeholders to strengthen community outcomes. Outside of work, Megan volunteers on not-for-profit management committees, assists at local events, and actively promotes her region. She also enjoys immersing herself in cultural pursuits, including music festivals, musicals, dance, and visual arts.
