Lachlan
Managing Director

Lachlan is the Managing Director of Wellness Australia Group and brings a deeply personal perspective to his work to achieve Wellness Australia Group's mission. Lachlan believes in the goodness of humanity and that kindness always is the best philosophy. Lachlan’s draws from his experience across finance, national and international businesses, hotel and resort management, and aged care to create leading edge inclusive communities and programs that will create social change.

General Manager (Care)

John holds dual qualifications in law and nursing, offering a distinctive perspective in health and community services. After completing his law degree in Sydney with a focus on public health and policy, he was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2014. He later went on to study a Bachelor of Nursing at QUT, graduating with a Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. John commenced his nursing career at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, completing his graduate program in orthopaedic trauma before moving into community health. With broad experience across varied settings, he brings a strong multidisciplinary approach to his work and is deeply committed to supporting participants to thrive through the NDIS.

Iona is our Relief Care Manager and provides leadership and guidance to our Care Managers in this important service area. Iona has a unique ability to connect with people living with complex care requirements and provide the highest quality support systems to meet individual needs. Iona has an incredible eye for detail and strongly advocates for people with disabilities to live their best lives.

Golf Director

Wayne Perske is a highly respected PGA Professional with a distinguished career spanning professional competition, coaching, and community engagement. Beginning as a touring professional, he competed both nationally and internationally, gaining invaluable experience at the highest levels of the game before shifting his focus to coaching and mentoring. Holding full PGA qualifications, Wayne is a passionate advocate for accessibility in golf and is recognised as a leader in All Abilities coaching. He has worked extensively with people of all ages and abilities, including those with intellectual and physical disabilities, designing programs that make golf welcoming, achievable, and fun for everyone. Currently based at Gunabul Homestead, Wayne leads golf programs, coaching, and community initiatives, while also working with Wellness Australia Group to bring together sport, wellness, and community services for people living with disabilities. His work creates opportunities for participants to thrive both on and off the course. Outside of golf, Wayne has a love for travel and motorsport, balanced by the joy and inspiration he finds in family life with his wife and two children. With his unique blend of professional experience, inclusive coaching, and community leadership, Wayne continues to inspire others while growing the game he loves.

Chief Experience Officer

Julie Marsh is a values-driven leader with more than 15 years’ experience across the NDIS, education and community sectors. As Chief Experience Officer at Wellness Australia Group, she leads with a simple belief: when people feel seen, heard and respected, sustainable outcomes follow. Julie’s career has been built on strengthening organisations from the inside out — aligning governance with heart, strategy with kindness, and innovation with practical delivery. Her leadership is both strategic and deeply relational. Julie is known for building high-performing teams grounded in trust, clarity and accountability. She has led multi-site NDIS operations supporting more than 4,000 participants, achieved outstanding staff retention, and consistently delivered above KPI expectations while protecting culture and wellbeing. At Wellness Australia Group, Julie focuses on participant experience, workforce culture, and community engagement. She champions dignity of risk, person-centred practice, and co-design approaches that ensure participants and families remain at the centre of every decision. Her work bridges operational excellence with lived experience — creating environments where employees feel supported and participants feel genuinely empowered. A recognised frugal innovator, Julie has established inclusive social enterprises that create employment and training pathways for people with disability, securing government funding and community partnerships that deliver measurable social impact. Her approach is solution-focused, collaborative and future-oriented — always asking not just “Is this compliant?” but “Is this meaningful?” Julie holds qualifications in business, management, HR, and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. She also contributes to community boards and advisory groups that align with her passion for inclusive communities. Above all, Julie leads with kindness. She believes that safety and clarity create confidence, consistency builds trust, and strong culture fosters belonging — with purposeful engagement forming the foundation of quality care. As Chief Experience Officer, she is committed to continuous improvement in building a stronger, more connected and more purposeful Wellness Australia Group.

Craig is a logistics wiz and has years of experience with problem solving. Craig oversees the property coordination, systems, coordinates the payroll and provides scheduling advice and support.

Care Manager (Gold Coast)

Julie (her friends call her Jules) has 23 years' experience in the disability sector, and over 6 years' experience in aged care. Having worked in the disability field since she was 15, Jules started as a volunteer before moving into support work and leadership roles. Julies holds a Diploma in Disabilities, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management. Jules loves live music, candle making, exercising and the outdoors.

Care Manager

Leah has been working in the disability sector since graduating in 2017. She began her career as a support worker before moving into nursing as an Enrolled and Registered Nurse, later stepping into leadership roles across both nursing and operations. She is deeply passionate about advocating for the rights of people living with disability, building participant capacity, and supporting teams through education and upskilling to ensure best practice and the best possible outcomes for participants. Outside of work, Leah is a live music enthusiast and can often be found at gigs, festivals, and theatre productions—especially inclusive music events, which she talks about with boundless enthusiasm. She’s also a lover of good food and wine, and proudly claims to have perfected the ultimate pizza dough recipe.

Head of Marketing Consultant

Amanda is a passionate marketing and communications creative and graphic designer with more than 25 years of experience in business development, branding, storytelling, and community engagement. She is the co-founder of Amarose Accounting, where she focuses on business development, marketing, operations, and creating a seamless, values-driven client experience. Amanda thrives on helping small business owners build the kind of business they truly want to run—spotting opportunities they may not yet see and turning ideas into action. With a strong background in the social sector, Amanda is guided by values of inclusivity, independence, and supporting businesses to articulate the real impact they make in the lives of others. Understanding people is at the heart of her work, complemented by her qualifications in community services and her current studies in counselling.

Chief Operating Officer

Lauren is the Chief Operating Officer of Wellness Australia Group and supports the Managing Director, General Manager and CXO to deliver Wellness' vision. Lauren is dedicated to supporting people living with disability to pursue their personal and professional goals, removing barriers and creating opportunities to ensure everyone is able to participate fully in their communities. With more than 15 years in the corporate, finance and mental health sectors, Lauren provides a person-centred, solution-focused approach to the day to day operations of Wellness Australia Group. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Psychology with minors in Counselling and Accounting from the University of Southern Queensland. She also holds an Advanced Diploma of Counselling specialising in Mental Health Practice. Lauren is currently undertaking a Master of Clinical Psychology Program and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). Lauren's previous roles include General Manager of Wellness Australia Group, Office Manager and Senior Executive Assistant of Psychology and Corporate Finance / Advisory practices based in South East Queensland, whose principals have held senior roles in Ernst & Young, Pacific Investment Management Company, Eureka Group Holdings, KordaMentha, and FTI Consulting.

Care Manager (Greater Brisbane)

Teagan is a Registered Nurse and RAAF veteran with extensive experience across diverse healthcare settings, including private and public hospitals, educational facilities, the Australian Defence Force (civilian and serving), and telehealth. She currently applies her expertise as the Greater Brisbane Care Manager with Wellness Australia Group, contributing to the healthcare leadership team and driving holistic, patient-centred outcomes across the region. Holding a Bachelor of Nursing, with Distinctions from QUT, Teagan has specialised in cardiology, paediatrics, veteran rehabilitation, dental health, and sports nursing. She also brings valuable experience as a Care Coordinator, guiding participants through integrated, personalised care plans that address both immediate needs and long-term goals. Her approach combines practical strategies for daily living and symptom management with holistic, evidence-based methods, while using leadership to guide care teams to achieve optimal independence, wellbeing, and sustainable outcomes for participants. Known for her strong and compassionate leadership and empathetic approach, Teagan is dedicated to creating supportive environments where her participants and care teams feel valued and empowered. She guides her care teams in applying practical strategies for daily living, using holistic, evidence-based methods to achieve optimal independence, wellbeing, and sustainable outcomes. Teagan ensures every individual she supports receives holistic, person-centred care that fosters confidence and autonomy throughout their journey. Outside of work, she is passionate about her own health and fitness and enjoys spending time with her three children and dachshund.

Sarah
Care Manager (Gympie)

Sarah Ford has 24 years of experience in the community services sector, with the past 14 years dedicated to out-of-home care in the Gympie region. In her role as Care Manager for Wellness Australia Group, she supports services at Honeybee and across the Sunshine Coast. Sarah is passionate about helping people grow, connect, and thrive. She values genuine conversations, enjoys yarning with people, and takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, making costumes, and spending quality time with her family, bringing creativity, compassion, and a down-to-earth approach to everything she does.

Employment Mentor 

Megan has over 25 years of experience in Employment, Community, and Social Services roles, supported by a Diploma in Community Services, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and a Certificate IV in Employment Services. She is passionate about working with people who are disadvantaged or fall through the gaps in our community. Known for her highly professional approach, Megan enjoys connecting with individuals from all backgrounds and abilities, empowering them to recognise their skills and strengths through training facilitation, group interaction, and one-on-one mentoring. Throughout her career, she has held diverse roles across training, marketing, project coordination and management, case management, mental health, recruitment, community engagement and development, legal, and quality assurance. She thrives on building networks and partnerships with like-minded stakeholders to strengthen community outcomes. Outside of work, Megan volunteers on not-for-profit management committees, assists at local events, and actively promotes her region. She also enjoys immersing herself in cultural pursuits, including music festivals, musicals, dance, and visual arts.
